2023: I will Tackle Nigeria’s Biggest Problem Which Is Hunger – Okorocha
Former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has said that the deadliest problem facing Nigerians was hunger.
The former governor said this while addressing a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
According to him, Nigeria was like an aircraft and he was ready to pilot it despite the fact that there will be turbulent periods.
He said this to formally declared his bid to run for the office of president, adding that he was capable of surmounting challenges facing the country.
“Please permit to be your pilot for a new Nigeria, as your pilot there might be small turbulence, no problem, captain Rochas is in command,” Okorocha said.
He also said if elected president, he would hand over power to the youth after the conclusion of his tenure.
The former governor said he would use his time as president to prepare the youth for leadership positions.
He added, “To the youth, if I become your president, I will handover (power) to the next generation. I’m not not-too-young-to-run and not too old to run, I’m only 57.
“I created 25,000 jobs for the youth. I made 305 millionaires in Imo.
“I will create wealth, I sold oranges – my wealth is clean, go and check CCB (forms).
“Our biggest problem is hunger, I have addressed that in the new Nigeria.”
