Super Falcons defender, Michelle Alozie, has broken her silence following Nigeria’s elimination from the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in the Round of 16 on Monday.
It was reported that Nigeria’s Super Falcons crashed out of the World Cup after losing 4-2 to England in a penalty shoot-out.
The Round of 16 tie had ended in a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes in Australia.
Alozie and Desire Oparanozie missed their spot-kicks during the penalty shoot-out.
In a tweet via her Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, Alozie gave glory to God following the outcome of the game.
She tweeted, “Self disappointment overcasted with overwhelming pride for my teammates, gratitude for the journey, and glory to God—always.”
