The directive according to the police, is aimed at reducing the number of guns in circulation across the state, and also to stop firearms from getting into wrong hands and being used by offenders to commit crime on the streets or anywhere else in the country.

Those who refused to heed the call by the police according to the Commissioner, will face the full wrath of the law when caught.

The Delta CP urges Deltans to report all suspicious firearms related activities to the nearest police station or the police public relations officer at the commands headquarters in Asaba.
