THE IRONY OF ONE NIGERIA

These pictures are that of 2 groups of people in Nigeria. The ones on white are that of terrorists who according to Buhari’s government have repented. They were de-radicalized, trained and given grants to start up businesses.
These group of now repented terrorists are the reasons why Buhari led APC government borrowed and still borrowing billions of dollars to buy arms (which we have never seen). They are the reason why Dasuki was locked up in a dungeon for years because they accused him of embezzling money meant for arms purchase.
They are the reason why thousands of Nigerian soldiers and civilians have died and continued dying. They are the reason why many children are orphans today. They are the reason why the once economically thriving Northeast is today a shadow of itself. They are the reason why Nigeria is currently like Somalia. Remember Buhari promised to defeat them in three months as he would lead the fight against them from the front as a General.
In spite everything these people did, the killings and economic woes they caused Nigeria, the bad publicity they gave the country among the comity of nations, they were pardoned and empowered to live better lives.
The second group is that of IPOB, a secessionist group who wants out of Nigeria because of glaring marginalization. They were largely peaceful in their protests and never bore arms, neither did they waste any life, yet they were made to drink mud water, maimed, incarcerated, killed, and was hurriedly proscribed as a terrorist group.
Isn’t it ironic that terrorists were pardoned, de-radicalized and integrated back into the society, while people who never bore arms were branded terrorists, and are being killed?
There’s no gainsaying that which part of Nigeria we come from determines the kind of treatment we are given, no matter the magnitude of our crimes. If you are from the privileged part, nothing you do can ever be wrong, but if you are from the underprivileged part, sneezing automatically because a crime.
One Nigeria is a ruse!..it is mess!
