INEC may suspend Edo election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it may suspend the forthcoming Edo and Ondo governorship elections if there is a breakdown of law and order, this statement was made by the INEC National Commissioner, Festus okoye.
In a meeting held with stakeholders yesterday, August 6,2020, in Abuja, a number of issues and election preparations were discussed, he mentioned that if that if there is breakdown of law and order, the election might be suspended.
He further raised his concerns over the Violent actions such as destruction of opponents’ campaign materials, billboards, use of violent words and violent campaigns.
He reassured that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will not relent in ensuring that Election rules are enforced. What is your take on this? Do you think Edo Gubernatorial Election should be shift forward if violent occur and there are a breakdown of laws
