The Governor of Abia state Dr okezie Victor Ikpeazu this morning approved the payment of 30,000 minimum wage for Abia workers.
In his new year address the Governor thanked the workers for their commitment in discharging their duties and promised to make their welfare his number one priority.
Some of the civil servants in the state while reacting to the cheering News stated ” we trust him he has done it before and he is doing it again, It started with the payment of salaries by 26th of every month, which have never happened in Abia before, and with this new year gift, we will do our best in our own capacity to make sure that his administration will deliver.
Payment of the new minimum wage will commence from January 2020.
