The Civil Society Coalition For Transparency (CSCT) has commended impact of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) projects in the Nigeria education sector.
The group also commended the executive secretary of TETFund, Prof. Suleiman Bogoro, but charged him to beware of saboteurs who may want to hinder his developmental strides in the sector.
The group in a statement by the president, Comrade Mike Femi, said the efforts of the TETFund has given Nigerian tertiary education a face-lift through its various infrastructural development, thereby giving Nigerian students a more conducive learning environment.
He said President Muhammadu Buhari’s reappointment of Prof. Bogoro, was rewarding, noting that he (BOgoro) has achieved a major stride in the sector as he has help re-shape and develop the nation’s education system.
He therefore called on the government to improve funding to the agency for greater performance, while calling on the executive secretary to be focused.
“We consequently call on other relevant bodies in the nation’s education sector to emulate TETFund and join hands with Bogoro for better success. We believe that the administration of Prof. Suleiman Bogoro will achieve the next level agenda of Mr president in the education sector, because his commitment to content development, research and development in our tertiary institutions is unprecedented,” the statement breads in part.
