I Will Tackle Insecurity And Unemployment With Youth Empowerment – Nonso Smart Okafor

Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor has said that his administration will show faith in the youths by accepting the responsibility of their development and empowerment, if elected the Governor of Anambra State.
The Governorship Aspirant who was in Ezira, Orumba South Local Government Area in Anambra, yesterday, Tuesday, 11th May, 2021, to interact with members of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the L.G.A, stated that he will institutionalize youth development and entrepreneurship in the state.
He said that the era of professing that youths are the leaders of today and key drivers of societal transformation, yet there is no robust and institutionalized youth development and empowerment plan have gone.
According to the lawmaker, although Anambra State is not in the league of states that have engaged in strange and funny youth empowerment programs, his administration will consolidate on Governor Obiano’s achievements by deliberating invest in ICT, Sports, Education, Agriculture Entertainment, and SMEs.
Speaking to party faithfuls, he said that the current state of youths poses threats to the security, stability, and sustainable development of our state, hence the need to be proactive in tackling insecurity and unemployment with youth empowerment.
The lawmaker said that under his watch, the Anambra State Youth Development and Empowerment Commission will be funded to empower the youths with life-changing scalable skills, self-development & entrepreneurship training, and qualitative economic empowerment to start up.
Areas like enterprise and entrepreneurship development, technical and vocational education training, skill acquisition, making Youth related public institutions and facilities work, exploring the entertainment and sports industry, Go-to-Farm policy, ICT training, giving soft loans to SMEs, providing funds for setups, and other empowerment programs will be focused.
He appealed for the support of the eighteen (18) wards executives and local government executives of APGA in the L.G.A to ensure that delegates in the L.G.A vote massively for him in the 23rd June APGA Party Primary election.
On his part, the lawmaker representing Orumba South in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Emma Nwafor said that his colleague, Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor has the competence to succeed Governor Obiano, urging potential delegates in the L.G.A to think towards Smart’s direction.
Also, the Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Orumba South L.G A, Pharm. Alphonso Muogbo, assured Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor of the L.G.A support.
