Ex Int’l Boxer Urges All South East States To Respect International Boxing Day

The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has directed all National Federations including the Nigeria Boxing Federation to mark the International Boxing Day scheduled for 27th August, 2021.

In a circular letter addressed to the Caretaker Committee Chairman, Brig General (rtd) Dr. J. Ayeni, OON and the NBF Secretariat, the AIBA clearly stated that it is very important NFs should as a matter of fact observe this day.

On our part as a Federation, plans are underway to ensure the International Boxing Day celebration is observed in Nigeria too. Also, following the instructions from AIBA, the chairman, Caretaker Committee has directed that all state Boxing Associations should pls key into this laudable event of the AIBA by celebrating the International Boxing Day in their various state Associations on the 27th of August, 2021.

The NBF expects some photo clips and paper cuttings of all celebrations which would be forwarded to AIBA accordingly.

Nigeria ex International boxer Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo applaud International Boxing Association (AIBA) and Nigeria Boxing Federation for the directives.

Accordingly Many State in South Eastern Nigeria especially Abia State and Enugu State will surely comply.
