Zamfara GSM shutdown helping anti-banditry battle –Military
The Defence Headquarters has said despite the outcry that greeted the shutdown of telecommunication services in Zamfara State, the result has justified the government’s action.
The Nigeria Communications Commission had in a leaked memo to telecommunication companies instructed them to shut down their services in the state over the rising insecurity, resulting from bandits’activities.

Each Rep gets N100m for constituency project – Adamawa lawmaker
A House of Representatives member, representing Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Federal Constituency of Adamawa State, Kwamoti Laori, has blamed poor budget implementation for the country’s poor economic growth.
This was as he revealed that each member of the House of Representatives gets an allocation of N100m to execute projects in their constituencies.
He, however, regretted that due to poor budgetary implementation the Reps hardly get get more than N80m of the allocated N100m….

Five arrested over murder of commercial sex worker in Kwara
Policemen attached to the Kwara State Police Command have arrested five suspected ritual killers in connection with the alleged murder of a commercial sex worker in Patigi in the Patigi Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects–Peter Tsado, Mohammed Gbara aka Madi, Abubakar Mohammed aka Mallam Baba Pati, Mohammed Ahmadu Nma and Bala Karin – were arrested in Patigi as well as Bida and Minna in Niger State. Three other suspects were said to be at large.
