Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has stated his position on the defection of former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
El-Rufai said only APC leaders who brought Fani-Kayode back into the party could explain why they allowed him.
He stated his position while responding to journalists who asked for his response on Fani-Kayode’s defection at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday.

Ondo: 15 private hospital operators arrested, facilities sealed over quackery
15 persons alleged to be operating private hospitals below the required standard have been arrested in Ondo State.
The suspects were arrested in Ondo South Senatorial District following an operation carried out by officials of the Ministry of Health in the axis.
With the affected hospitals sealed off by the ministry, the suspects were accused of operating unethically and violating the stipulated rules and regulations guiding operation of health facilities in the state.
According to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Mrs Folukemi Aladenola, the move became necessary towards sanitizing the health sector of the state against quackery.
While stating that the development will enhance qualitative healthcare delivery in the state, Aladelola emphasized that the officials visited 36 medical clinics located in Ore, Odigbo, Okitipupa, Ilutitun, and Iju-Odo among others…..

Expose Boko Haram sponsors if you are not part of them – PDP dares Buhari, APC
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the refusal of the Buhari Presidency to expose the names of sponsors Boko Haram and other terror groups in Nigeria.
The opposition said Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) government are giving the impression of “official cover for terrorists and bandits pillaging the nation”.
In a statement on Tuesday, PDP spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan lambasted the government for saying it would not expose the identity of terror masterminds.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) had revealed the names of six Nigerians funding Boko Haram in a list of more than 50 individuals and entities.
“The decision of the APC-led government to cover the identities of sponsors of mindless mass killings, maiming, rapping, kidnapping of our compatriots as well as the endless violent marauding of our communities under the APC watch, validates our stand that such individuals have connections with the APC….

2023: Nigeria can’t afford another tribalistic president like Buhari – Northern elders
The Northern Elders Forum, NEF, has said Nigeria can not afford another tribalistic leader like President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
NEF Director of Publicity and Advocacy, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, made the remark while stressing that Nigeria’s next president should not be tribalistic as Buhari.
Baba-Ahmed said Nigeria needs a President who will act in the “opposite direction” to Buhari.
The NEF spokesman disclosed this on Arise TV’s ‘The Morning Show’ breakfast programme.
He also disclosed that some Nigerians including those within the All Progressives Congress, APC, are not happy with Buhari.
“The nation needs a leader that would do the things that President (Muhammadu) Buhari hasn’t done, create inclusiveness, address resentment and frustration in other parts of the country and in the north and speak and act for everybody,” he said…..

Hon Austin Okezie Meregini, a stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from the southeast, has asked Igbos to hold their leaders responsible for the developmental backwardness of the region, rather than blaming President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Meregini, who spoke in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Tuesday, regretted that elected political leaders from the region receive huge sums of allocation from the Federal Government but have failed to live up to the expectations in the development of the southeast and her people.
