Anambra Guber: We Have Changed Our Campaign Strategy – PDP
The Anambra State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has said it has changed its campaign strategy for the November 6, governorship campaign.
The state Secretary of the party, Okoli Akirika stated this on Wednesday, in an interview with our correspondent in Awka, the state capital.
He explained that it was a wrong political strategy to be doing what he called ‘Mama-put’ campaigns in the 21st century where people would come, eat and drink and go home without internalising the cause and philosophy of the struggle.
Akirika said, “We’re aggressively campaigning; we’re doing issue-based and apostolic campaigns. It’s no longer business as usual where people gather, eat and go like in Mama-put place.
“That era has gone. We’re reaching out to people one-on-one and we are getting results; and people are internalising our gospel. It’s a new narrative.”
