Katsina State Chapter of the Nigeria Hunters Council, NHC, has volunteered to assist the State Government in winning the war against banditry in the State.
Hajiya Ummah Dauda, the Assistant Commandant General (ACG), made the pledge on Thursday, when she led other members of the association on a courtesy call to the office of the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa.
While unveiling their mission to the office of the SSG, ACG Ummah revealed that they are members of the group of warriors who hunt and know the forest and they are ready to sacrifice their lives for the cause……

Fani-Kayode said unforgivable things against Buhari, we would’ve told him to go to hell – Presidency
The presidency has said that the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode had said unforgivable and unpardonable things against President Muhammadu Buhari prior to his (FFK) recent defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
In a statement by President Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, the presidency said Fani-Kayode has however, received mercy and forgiveness from the Nigerian leader.
DAILY POST recalls that the human rights lawyer, who was a major critic of the current administration, last week shocked Nigerians when he officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the APC.
He was received into the party by President Buhari.
The move has, however, triggered backlash from concerned Nigerians as many lambasted FFK, describing his nature of politics as unstable……

Biafra, Oduduwa: Gov Ortom reveals major reasons for agitations in Nigeria
The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Thursday, said Nigerians have lost confidence in the presidency, leading to the current agitation for secession in both the Southeast and Southwest geopolitical zones.
Governor Ortom, who is known for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari over his alleged inability to tackle the current security challenges, made the assertion during an event organized by the Radio Nigeria chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ in Enugu State.

Nigerian Army confirms video of officer dehumanising female corps member, apologises to victim’s family
The Nigerian Army (NA), on Thursday, said it has taken cognizance of a video clip currently making the rounds on social media. The video showed how a female officer dehumanized a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Calabar, Cross River State.
Recall that on September 22, 2021, a military officer serving in the 13th Brigade Command of the Nigerian Army in Calabar simply identified as Lt. Chika Viola Anele was allegedly caught on camera dehumanizing a female Youth Corps member.
The victim, whose name was given as Ezeiruaku Ifenyinwa Fidelia, a female corps member was reportedly serving in the 13th Brigade.
In the video which has now gone viral, the victim was seen dressed in her full NYSC uniform, the army officer forced her to kneel down and she was seen pouring a liquid substance, suspected to be dirty water on her while intermittently hitting her with the container.

We have no mandate to zone president, vice president positions – PDP Zoning Committee
The meeting of the Zoning Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for National Offices of the Party ahead of the October 30-31 National Convention ended in Enugu, on Thursday, with the members of the committee adjourning till next week for conclusion of their work.
Addressing newsmen after the closed-door meeting held at the Government House, Enugu, the Chairman of the Committee and Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, said that “we had a fruitful meeting and we adjourned to conclude next week”.
Earlier in his welcome address, Gov. Ugwuanyi clarified that the committee has no mandate to zone political offices such as President or Vice President of Nigeria…..
