Oshiomhole Fails To Resume Office On Friday

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, embattled National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) failed to resume at his office on Friday despite an order by a Federal High Court In Kano which set aside a ruling of the FCT High Court suspending him from parading himself as the party’s chairman.

Justice Lewis Allagoa on Thursday ordered the police and Department of State Service (DSS) to provide security for Oshiomhole to resume in his office.

On Wednesday, Justice Danlami Senchi, had granted an order of interim injunction stopping Oshiomhole from parading himself as the APC National Chairman.

Based on the ruling of the Kano court, some party officials had said Oshiomhole will resume his duties on Friday but that did not happen as he was nowhere to be found.

Speaking with our correspondent, a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed that Oshiomhole was not seen at the party Secretariat.

“He was not at the party Secretariat today. Let’s see what happens on Monday. Concerned stakeholders are working to resolve the issue and you know, 24 hours is a long time in politics. I believe the issues would be resolved this weekend” he said.
