Scam Alert: NNPC disclaims fake 50th anniversary quiz contest
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Tuesday disowned a fake quiz competition trending online which claimed to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, NNPC, Malam Garba Muhammad, made this known in a statement.
“In the purported quiz contest, unsuspecting participants are encouraged to answer four questions on their knowledge of the Corporation, with the eventual winner standing the chance of winning some cash reward of up to N30,000,” he alerted.
According to Muhammad, the NNPC wishes to state categorically that it has nothing to do with the purported 50th anniversary quiz contest.

Lagos traffic: Former Gov Fayose rides on okada [PHOTOS]
Former Governor Ago Fayose of Ekiti State, on Tuesday, left his car to commute on a commercial motorcycle, popularly known as Okada, in Ikeja, the Lagos State capital.
Fayose took the decision as a result of the hectic Lagos road traffic, which he said is no respecter of anybody.
In a post on his social media handle, the former Governor was seen on the motorcycle with his security aide sitting behind him.
Taking the bike, according to Fayose, became necessary to prevent missing his flight.
“Lagos traffic is no respecter of anyone. I had to take Okada in Ikeja to avoid missing my flight,” he said in the post.

Despite signing a Memorandum of Action on autonomy for state legislature and Judiciary, most of the 36 governors have not encouraged the enactment of legislation to back it up.
Only 12 states have passed the appropriate law for autonomy for state legislature and judiciary.
Out of the 12 states, eight did so in the North and four others in the South.
