See Nnamdi Kanu powerful message after losing in court
Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Tuesday called for a stop to the killings going on in the South East, saying he is fighting to defend the people of Biafra and not to kill them.
Kanu who said this in a short video after Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja denied him bail, urged the people of the region to remain calm and make the zone peaceful.
He said his camp had expected Tuesday’s verdict of Justice Nyako but will continue to soldier on in pursuit of justice.
“It is what we expect. But I want our people to be very calm. I want Biafranland to be calm, calm, and very peaceful. We are fighting to defend our people, not to kill them.
“We are fighting to defend them, that’s why I’m here. And we will continue to do so until we get the victory,” Kanu said.
The IPOB leader has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja since his rearrest in Kenya in 2021.
