Army launches operation still water 11 to fight crimes in Ondo, Ekiti

The Nigerian Army says it has put in place various strategies to checkmate expected increase in cases of criminal activities in these last months of the year.

Commander of 32 Artillery of the Nigerian Army, Brig-Gen Muktar Adamu gave the assurance during the launch of Exercise still Water II in Owo Local Government area of Ondo state.

Adamu said the exercise will identify criminal hideouts and project activities to clear suspected insurgents, kidnappers and armed robbers out of Ondo and Ekiti States.

The commander further said he would help in creating a conducive environment where everyone will be free to move without fear of intimation from criminals.

The exercise is also aimed at ensuring a secured environment during the electioneering campaigns, as well as curtailing the prevailing insecurity in the country. Continue reading
