The death of a Lagos lawyer, Babajide Arije from the complications of the COVID-19 yesterday may have corroborated this claim.
But for his death, he would have been 60 years today.
Newsnow investigation revealed that Mr. Arije who spoke to the Lagos state commissioner of Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi around 5am on Sunday, April 26, and also called the NCDC lines several times was not evacuated until around 1.00pm and before much help could come, he died around 5.00pm because of underlying health conditions.

“Last Wednesday evening, he stepped out to the shopping complex in his estate where he resides to get some supplies. He showed no symptoms of COVID-19 save the cough which I also noticed in January or thereabouts.
“So from looking healthy four days ago, we lost him because he has some underlying medical conditions and COVID-19 took the best of him.
“This invincible enemy is real and out to take lives, so please stay safe by staying at home.
“May Jide’s soul rest in peace and may Almighty God protect and keep the rest of us.”
