Hours after her name was included in the list of committee
members for the inauguration of President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nollywood
actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham bragged about the incoming government in
Nigeria.
She stated this while encouraging netizens to join her in
prayers and love for the administration.
The list of the members of the Entertainment
Committee for Tinubu’s inauguration, which includes Seyi Law, Toyin Abraham,
and Saheed Balogun, among others, had earlier appeared on the internet.
Speaking after the list went viral, the “Ijakumo” actress,
in a tweet accompanied by photos from her Canada trip said: “We are about to
experience a new dawn. A positive and great phase like we have never
experienced before, I believe. So help us, God. Please, for once, let’s pray,
support and show love to our government. Love and Light. I love you all.”
Recall that Toyin had endorsed Tinubu as her
preferred candidate in the 2023 presidential election.
Following her declaration, the actress was called out,
insulted and trolled on social media.
