Why Our Demand For Better Country, Biafra, Shouldn’t Be Criminalised – BIM/ MASSOB Spokesperson

THE leadership of Biafra Independence Movement, says that the on-going struggle for an independent Biafra should not be criminalized but said it is legitimate and necessary.
Mocha gave this explanation at an event yesterday in Aguleri, Anambra- East council area of Anambra state, to mark the 23rd Biafra Day celebration which comes up on May 22.
A statement issued and circulated to newsmen on Thursday and signed by the Director of Information of MASSOB , Mazi Chris Anierobi Mocha said,
” The world history is full of instances where people like the Igbo tribe of over 50 million people by population who were marginalized within the larger entities as in Nigeria have struggled for and won their independence”.
According to him, “Europe is dotted with countries that have recently won their independence from other entities in spite of the Constitutions of the States concerned which made any attempt to breakaway from their wholesomeness treasonable”.
Continuing, The Directior of Information explained that due to marginalization, the former Czechoslovakia disbanded and gave birth to Czech and Slovak Republics, while Yugoslavia was broken into Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro.
Mocha who is equally the Senior Special Assistant to BIM, stressed that the former world power, Soviet Union was splitted into 15 different Sovereign Nations,
“They include Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine ,and Uzbekistan,”
Mocha said during the Biafra Day event slated for May 22nd in all the regional offices across the Biafra land.
Answering a question, he explained that Britain which foisted the 1914 amalgamation which expired since January 1, 2014 on Northern and Southern protectorates of Nigeria, has its own autonomy – seeking nationalities, including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
” Similarly, the federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland separated into today’s Zimbabwe , Zambia, Malawi, Malaysia, and Singapore “, Mocha said.
Indonesia was also broken and gave birth to Easti-more just as Kosovo separated from Serbia and Montenegro separated and gave birth to Kosovo in 2017 and Sudan separated to today’s South Sudan on July 9, 2011.
Mocha is hopefully aware that while BIM/MASSOB leadership is looking up to the United States for the grant of a complete power of our country, New Biafra, to govern her self, disclosed the reason why Chief Ralph Uwazuruike-led BIM-MASSOB joined the Unrepresented Nations and People’s Organizations, UNPO, on February 22, 2020, was for the body to accelerate the process of achieving Biafra Sovereignty, he concluded.
