Reno Omokri, a popular Nigerian author and former spokesperson to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has advised Degree certificate holders that certificate is not a guarantee to success in life.
Reno in his writeup stated that some Degree certificate holders often feel their academic certification worth more than certain jobs and thus, reject certain kinds of job offers.
The author who recently said Africans are more superstitious than religious has now advised certificate holders not to feel too educated to start small, no matter the pay.
The former presidential spokesman also noted that people without formal education often succeed more than the formally educated because they don’t feel ashamed to begin to small.
Thus, he advised his followers to get education but never to allow their certificates define them.
“A Degree is a certificate that you went to school, not a certificate that you will be successful” he noted.
Refer to his Instagram post below;
“Get education. But don’t let your certificate define you. Certificates limit people who feel that it makes them too good for a job or business, and so stay jobless, waiting for a job that befits their certificates, and as illiterate progress above them! Don’t relax because you have a degree. A degree is a certificate that you went to school, not a certificate that you will be successful. Those without certificate often succeed and employ those with certificates, because they are not too proud to start small
