Anambra 2021: IPOB’s threats won’t obstruct our campaigns – APC
The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, has said it was going ahead with its scheduled campaigns for the November 6 governorship election despite threats by the Indigenous People of Biafra.
State Secretary of the party, Chukwuma Agufugo, said, this in an interview in Awka, on Wednesday. He said, “It’s wrong to think that we are not campaigning. We are moving to Wards and Local Government Areas. We’re reaching the grassroots
“Today (Wednesday), we are holding a stakeholders’ meeting where important issues about election will be discussed.
“We’re not afraid of anybody. We’re a registered political party. We’re legally doing our things legitimately. So, it’s not the issue of IPOB. Our campaigns are on.”
In another development, the Young Progressive Party governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Uba, has said he had over 80,000 canvassers working for him in the 326 wards across the state.

He said,” We’re doing things differently. I have a compendium of my canvassers working for me in every nook and cranny of the state.
“These canvassers are reaching out to hundreds of people. So, our campaign strategies are second to none. There is no ward in this state we have fewer than 500 canvassers.
“Apart from that, we are visiting communities to educate them on what they should do; and everywhere we go, people besiege us with happiness and conviction.”
