The news now is that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the voting period In the Anambra governorship election.
Dr Nwachukwu Orji, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for INEC in Anambra State, has initially declared that voting would be extended by one hour, starting from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. On another report from Chrysora Media, the voting was further shifted to resume at 4:00pm due to the malfunctioning of the electoral electronic machine.
Furthermore, Dr Nwachukwu also stated that voting will continue on Sunday, and promised to provide media briefings every hour to keep everyone informed as the election progresses continue.
