Anambra First New Year Baby Receives Special Package From Obiano

ANAMBRA FIRST NEW YEAR BABY RECEIVES SPECIAL PACKAGE FROM OSODIEME

Wife of Anambra State Governor, *Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, Osodieme,* received and showered gifts on the state’s first baby of the year 2021, who was born at the early hours of today, at the Maternity Ward, of the Onitsha General Hospital.

This has been a yearly observance for the compassionate first lady, who was ably represented by the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, *Lady Mrs Ndidi Mezue, Ada Dioramma*

Presenting gifts to the baby girl, weighing a huge 4.8kg, through his parents, *Mr and Mrs Obizolu* from Adazi Ani, the Commissioner used the opportunity to thanked the wife of the Governor, for consistently showing special love to mothers and children in the State. Lady Mezue also commended the Governor for placing premium on quality health delivery in the State.

The message of hope from the first lady to ndi Anambra for the new year, according to Lady Mezue, is that the year will be a remarkable year, a year of restoration. She urge everyone to be law abiding and continue to believe and trust in God.

For the new born baby, she prayed for God protection while expressing confidence that she would herald good tidings for the family and the state in general.

An elated mother of the first baby of the year, Mrs. Obizolu, said: _“I thank the first lady for this rare gesture and show of love, she has really done well, she gave us gifts. Thank you very much, we are indeed grateful and may God continue to bless her and grant her long life and prosperity in Jesus name.”_

Accompanying the Commissioner on the visit were Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, *Chief Emeka Ozumba* and *Mrs Nkechi Anazodo*, Head of Department, Child Department, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.
