Anambra Police Command Achieves Security Gains, Warns Troublemakers To Desist, Appreciate Ndi Anambra’s Support

The Anambra State Police Command has reported a significant improvement in security and stability across the state under the leadership of CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD, who assumed office as the 35th Commissioner of Police one month ago.
In a security review released today March 10,2025 by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations officer Anambta State Command stated that CP Orutugu commended police operatives for their professionalism and resilience in combating crime.
According to SP Ikenga, the CP also expressed gratitude to Ndi Anambra, security agencies, and stakeholders for their cooperation, which he described as instrumental in maintaining peace and order.
Despite these gains, the Commissioner warned that intelligence reports indicate plans by some elements to disrupt the prevailing peace.
He urged those involved to abandon criminal activities, stating that the Command is fully prepared to tackle any form of lawlessness.
He also called on residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police.
“The Anambra Police Command remains open to constructive criticism to refine its anti-crime strategy.
We urge the public to continue supporting security efforts by exposing those who threaten the peace of our state,” CP Orutugu said.
