ANAMBRA@33: NLC State Chairman, Nwafor Hails Workers’ Commitment Towards Development

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Council (NLC), Anambra State Council, Comrade Sir Humphrey Nwafor, has congratulated Ndi Anambra, especially the State’s workforce for their commitments towards development since the creation of the state 33 years ago.
In a statement issued in Awka in commemoration of the 33rd anniversary of the creation of Anambra state, the NLC Boss eulogized the people of the state for their resilience and commitment towards her development.
‘Over the years, our people have shown how resilient they can be in the face of challenges and I give it to them as we mark the 33rd anniversary of the creation of our dear state. Ndi Anambra have significantly shouldered the burden of developing the state and we cannot talk about her 33rd anniversary without acknowledging the undeniable role the people at home and in Diaspora have played in her development so far. A people that have built Roads, Hospitals, Schools, Bridges, Industries, etc as private citizens deserve commendation.’
Comrade Nwafor who doubles as the Anambra State Chairman of NASU further acknowledged that successive administrations have, over the years, done their best in our journey as a state which began on 27th August 1991.
‘As Anambra State Government clocks thirty three (33) years, I want to congratulate Governor of the State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR for the bold steps he has taken towards actualizing his vision of a liveable and prosperous smart megacity.

As the State marks 33 after its creation, I enjoin Ndi Anambra to join hands with the Governor on the march towards building a livable and prosperous homeland for all, where there will be peace, security and progress,’ the Labour leader said.
‘This commemoration will be incomplete without acknowledging the roles of our leaders at various times and levels, especially governors. I salute them all.
