By Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu
The Managing Director/CEO of Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA), Mr. Tony Odili Ujubuonu, says under his watch the Agency has witnessed remarkable and monumental development and progress.
The ANSAA Boss who stated this during the Launch of 2025 Branded Vehicle Permit stated that it is the first time they are having a formal launch and presentation of an improved version of an asset.
‘We had hoped last year to launch the Digital Anyaora, a platform that was envisioned to revolutionise our operations, reduce revenue leakages, encourage customer participation and increase revenue for the government.
‘We could also have launched this very permit last year, but because the digital component was not ready, we had to run and deliver permits to our customers in the year 2024 on Temporary mode.
‘While running on temporary mode, our decision in 2023 to invest heavily on technology as it relates to the mobile component of our assets package paid off beyond what we had envisaged.
‘The revenue trajectory was quite overwhelming. I am glad to inform us that for the year 2023, the total revenue earned by the Mobile assets was within the range ofN18M but as at the end of last month, November, with the new system, the revenue earned by the Mobile department is almost N50M about300% spike in income.
‘This reinforces our argument that investment inANSAA will yield tremendous benefits to the government and theAgency. More revenue for infrastructural development, more jobs for Ndi Anambra and better skill for ANSAA staff.
‘The vision of our Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR to makeAnambra a livable, prosperous and digitally-driven space powers everyvision, plan, decision, action and deliberate inactions in ANSAA. It is to help achieve this that the Agency commenced the Digital Anyaora,’ he concluded.
For his part, the Special Asset Manager (Mobile), Mr. Chike Obi said their target was to key in to the governor’s ambition of making technology a huge part of government business, the Anambra State Signage and Advertiserent Agency ANSAA, adopted its mission statement which is to be a world class technology driven agency delivering effective, innovative and sustainable value to all stakeholders.
‘We have constantly put in efforts to ensure that our Mobile Advert Permits become easier to access and technology driven. In 2022, we issued letter headed documents as permits and that came with its many loopholes.
‘In 2023,we took a step further by issuing certificates, but the details of clients were manually inputted on the permits. We had our challenges too, largely on piracy.
‘This year, we took further steps to go digital, but due to some technical glitches, we could not launch on time. We opted in for permits generated here in our head office, with client information automatically filled on the permits after payment confirmation and filling in of our approval forms, but we weren’t done yet. I can tell you today, that clients can send in requests for our Mobile Advert Permits from the comfort of anywhere they find themselves in at any point in time. Upon payment completion, Mobile Asset Users can log on to our website
www.digitalanyaora.ng and proceed with their registration and upon submitting the completed forms, the request for the permit issuance will be sent to our servers and subsequently issued, and clients will be called for collection afterwards.
Asides the ease at which clients can request for their permits, clients can have a softcopy of the permits before getting the hard copy. Each permits come with its unique QR code that is generated by our system uponissuance. When scanned, the unique QR codes display every information about themobile advertisement, including its payment status. All the improvements embedded on the permits to serve you better, come at no extracost, as the prices of the permits remain unchanged. In due time, my colleague and the head of the Digital Department will do a demonstration orhow our new permits work,’ he stated
