Rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has called for the arrest of a former Niger Delta militant, Asari Dokubo.
Adeyanju said Dokubo should be arrested for threatening Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State and for being a threat to national security.
He made the call in a petition to the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, on Wednesday.
The petition reads partly: “The extant viral clip of Dokubo Asari threatening Governor Fubara should be abhorrently intolerable. A sitting governor is equivalent to the will of the people.
“Dokubo and his gun wielding thugs front themselves who are not effectively restricted by the constitution or bound by the rule of law.
“Therefore, sir, I submit that Dokubo Asari be arrested effective and immediately for threat to national security and utter disregard for the rule of law.”
