Boxing talent hunt: Ex International boxer gives financial support to Enugu North LGA student boxers

Students from Day Secondary School Ogui Nike Enugu, Iva Valley Secondary School and Government Secondary School (GTC Enugu) are students from Enugu North LGA of Enugu State earlier recommended for further development by Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo from ongoing 17 LGA’s grassroot boxing talent hunt have received a cash support from Mazi Ikechukwu Okorokwo, Ex International Boxer.

Overwhelmed by joy at the sight of Mazi Okoronkwo who is the head coach of the grassroot boxing talent hunt, the students crowded him and he blessed them with his own quota of empowerment.

Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo met these students when he visited Enugu State Sports Council for training alongside his two sons, Chinaza Okoronkwo and Zoe Chinaemerem Okoronkwo the Prides of Arochukwu on 19th February, 2022.

The fruit of 2021/22 grassroot boxing talent hunt exercise going on in the 17 LGA’s of Enugu State being conducted by Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo has started to produce result as Enugu State Sports Council Coach Mr Blaise Udeh adopted the talented students for boxing training on weekends at the Sports Council after seeing the great Boxing talent in these Students discovered by Sports Ambassador Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo.
