Coup Plot: Army Debunks Reports Of Meetings At Aso Villa
The Nigerian Army has reacted to reports making the rounds that the Presidential Guards Brigade has been put on high alert following unusual movements, leading to suspicions of a coup plot in Nigeria.
SaharaReporters reported on Sunday that the suspicions prompted emergency meetings involving the Commander of the Presidential Guards Brigade, Col. Adebisi Onasanya, President Bola Tinubu and the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
In reacting to this report, the Army through her verified Social Media page described it as Fake News.
