He said, “Can a driver who relies on a transportation business or a hawker who sells food items or pure water in a street survive this senseless lockdown?
“These people don’t have other means of providing food for their families. I was reading a story days ago where a woman wanted to commit suicide just because she could no longer sell pure water to take care of her children.
“You don’t add to the sufferings of the people when you can’t provide an effective alternative. This is what they don’t want us to be saying.
“People should not ask me what I have done for the people because I am not part of those who have neglected the teachings of Jesus Christ in Matthew 6:3.
“It is inappropriate for me to give money to the government when I have poor people around me.
“Our government should be held responsible for failure to tackle hunger in Nigeria. When you talk, some selfish people or party leaders would tell you to keep quiet.
“Nigeria is not part of the countries where you can impose a total lockdown on the people. Can Citizens file for unemployment in Nigeria?
“We are trying to copy the advanced countries, not knowing what they have done to cater for their people.
“How many weeks that the government has left people at home crying for help but turning deaf ears to their challenges?
“That ‘conditional cash policy’ is a total scam, and should be rejected by the good people of Nigerians.
“The money belongs to all of us, and it should be shared equally. If President Buhari fails to do the needful, I can tell you that something unexpected might happen.”
