CP Orutugu Ramps Up Safe School Initiative, Declares Anambra Safe For Learning And Business

In a decisive move to enhance school security, Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has intensified advocacy on the Police Safe School Initiative, a proactive strategy to safeguard students, teachers, and staff across the state.
According to press release issued to the newsmen by SP Tochukwu Ikenga Police Public Relations Officer stating that during a visit to schools on Wednesday, CP Orutugu reaffirmed the police commitment to tackling security threats, particularly in light of past disruptions caused by the illegal Sit-at-Home order.
CP commended Ndi Anambra for the noticeable improvement in social and economic activities on Mondays, attributing it to strengthened security measures.
“The police and other security agencies have taken over the streets, especially on Mondays, to ensure sustained safety. We urge residents to go about their daily activities without fear,” CP Orutugu stated.
Accompanied by the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Ify Obinabo, the CP encouraged school administrators, parents, and local communities to collaborate with security forces in safeguarding schools.
