CP Orutugu Revives Cattle Menace Committee to Tackle Grazing Conflicts in Anambra

In a decisive move to curb the recurring issues of cattle grazing, Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD, has announced the revival of the Cattle Menace Committee under the Command.

In a press release issued by SP Tochukwu Ikenga Police Public Relations Officer Anambra State Command stated that the initiative aims to address problems such as crop destruction, road accidents, and conflicts between herders and local communities.

According to SP Ikenga, this development follows a courtesy visit by the Hausa/Fulani community to the CP’s office, where concerns over herder-community relations were raised.

CP Orutugu reassured the people of Anambra that the Command remains committed to proactive security measures. He emphasized that reinstating the committee would foster peaceful coexistence and strengthen security across the state.
