National chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Uche Secondus on Thursday held talks with a former minister of aviation Femi Fami-Kayode.
Mr Fani-Kayode has been rumoured to be plotting a move away from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress, an allegation he has denied repeatedly.
PDP national publicity secretary Kola Ologbondiyan broke the news of the meeting via Twitter.
He said:
“The National Chairman of our great party, prince @UcheSecondus in company of NWC members in a meeting with former Minister of Aviation, @realFFK.”
Members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) were also part of the meeting with the ex-minister.
Mr Ologbondiyan quoted Fani-Kayode as assuring the PDP leaders that he was not leaving the party.
“If I had any concerns, such concerns are out of the windows already now. I’m a part of you and I will remain a part of you,” the former minister was quoted as saying.

Fani-Kayode had earlier in the year met Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and APC caretaker chairman Mai Buni in Abuja.
Days after the meeting, Bello appeared in a video saying the former minister had joined the APC, but Fani-Kayode immediately denied it.
