As moslems all over the world celebrate Eid-El-kabir, a member of Board of Trustees, (BOT) of the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, called for peace amongst Nigerians as he hosts about 300 moslems in his Oba residence.

Playing host to them he called the over 300 moslem faithful in his Oba, Idemili South residence, to love one another.

He said that the celebration, “is called,, ‘Baban Sallah, in the moslem world’, I have to host my moslem brothers. This is love which was displayed by te Biblical Ibrahim when God asked him to use his only begotten son as sacrifice to God.”

“As he was about to slaughter Isaac God intervened and sent a ram which was in replacement of Isaac”

“It shows that you have to love God and man, so we call the celebration Baban sallah”, he stated.

“When you kill ram you share it (love) into three places, one for the family that brought the ram, another part for the moslem and the third for non moslems”

“So we have to show love to each and every one of us irrespective of one’s religious, political, ethnic and whatever inclination”

Earlier the Chief Iman of Oba, Alfa Mohammed Tukur, in his sermon prayed God to continue to guard and guide Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka as he worked for the interest of both moslems and non moslems.

He also prayed for long life of Ezeonwuka so that he would continue to host the moslems in the area.

The Chief Iman who was flanked by the chairman of Hausa community in Oba, Malam Alkii Mohammed, and Alfa Lateef Ayodele, the Muazin/Afo Oba Iman mosque, Alfa Hamas Mohammed, said Ezeonwuka remained their father in Oba.

“We thanked God for Rommy Ezeonwuka, we pray God to keep this our father, he should stay and continue to host us” he prayed.
