The Jigawa state Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar says eid prayers will be observed as usual but has advised women, children and the elderly being the most vulnerable to stay away in order to prevent them from contracting the virus.
The Governor who dropped the hint in a press briefing at the state Government House in Dutse the state Capital, says social distancing must be observed among the worshippers and face masks are necessary as prerequisite to be allowed in the eid ground.
However, in places where lockdown order is imposed the status quo will continue from 12 noon.
Durbar festival and other festivities associated to sallah celebrations are also banned.
Meanwhile, the state Government has increased the workers stay at home by another two weeks as cases continue to increase in the state.
