Extend School Feeding Program To South East

Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo is calling on Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) to extend Schools Feeding Program to South Eastern State.

It is a known Facts that most of the Poor of the Poorest Youth/ Students from South Eastern States of Nigeria were not captured in the Federal Government Schools Feeding Program.

Infact None of the Poor of the Poorest Students among more than Twenty Thousand Youth/Students from various Urban and Rural Communities, In the 17 LGA of Enugu State that had Participated in our Grassroot Boxing Talent Hunt Program have ever benefited from FGN School Feeding Program according to the Students.

This is frustrating our efforts to develop the capacity of every Student through Health and Physical Education (Practical Boxing Program).

Majority of the discovered Student who are from the Poor of the Poorest Families are disadvantage for Positive development

Considering the inability of their parents to feed them during Free Holidays Boxing training to enhance their technical Skills.

In view to demand for dividends of Democracy.

I wish to appeal to Federal Ministry of Humanitarian affairs and other relevant agencies (FGN ) to kindly extend schools feeding program to every students in all the Public primary and secondary schools in Enugu State, Ebonyi State, Anambra State, Imo State and Abia State.

My Analysis during the Conduct of Grassroot Boxing Talent Hunt exercise in the 17 Local Government councils of Enugu State clearly shown that 98 percent of students in Public Schools in Enugu State and other South Eastern States are in the categorises of the poor of the poorest in the Society.

Therefore every students in all the public primary and Secondary schools in South East zone is entitled for FGN School feeding program.
