I will approach Anambra Infrastructural Deficits from Engineering Perspective - Engr Azubogu

…Reiterates the need for Engineers to be part of policy formulation and implementations towards bridging the Infrastructural gap

*Engr Chris Emeka Azubogu stated this in Awka during the weekend, while speaking during the Induction of Engineers into The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Awka Branch.*

Azubogu said that Anambra State has gotten to the point where we have to consider Engineering Perspective to the problems we face as a society, especially as it concerns Infrastructure Deficits.

*”We are faced with Infrastructural gap and all these are because Engineers have been neglected over the years in policy formulation and implementations.”*

The Federal Lawmaker, Azubogu said that “Anambra State with various Higher Institutions is a Focus for Engineering Technology, Commerce and Industry. Our education system should be tailored to reflect the need to solve our problems”

According to the man foundly call *’Mr Project’, “We have to develop Triple Helix approach in order to link Government, Industry and Academia towards resolving economic/development challenges facing us.*

*With Triple Helix approach, we will be able to analyze and reinforce cooperation between the Business/industry, the knowledge sector( Academia) and the public authorities (Government), which will trigger growth. We cannot achieve growth without strategic synergy between The Government, Industry/Business and Academia(Education/School).” He said.*

“Engineers must collabrate with other professionals and set agenda for our state development especially now that we are faced with serious Infrastructural gap and there is no better time for Engineers to stand up and be counted than now. The truth is that we cannot attract key investments without bridging Infrastructural gap.” he said.

Azubogu also informed Engineers at the event that they are trained to solve problems.
*”You are an Engineer to solve problems and the need for Engineering inputs in almost all the sectors cannot be over emphasized. Getting investors into Anambra will not be achieved by mere sloganeering, but by prioritized investment towards key infrastructure with right policies. Engineers must stand up now for the society” Azubogu concludes .*

Azubogu was later honoured by Nigerian Society of Engineers(NSE) Awka branch, In recognition of his excellent service and professional support in Engineering Development.
