Independent Leaders Forum Protests Against Justice Obiora, Others In Anambra
The Independent Leaders Forum (ILF) at Anambra State High court, Awka displayed different banners with messages such as, “Justice Obiora Nwabunike your plans with Chris Uba has been uncovered, PDP Sack Chris Uba now, Justice Obiora Nwabunike your Ex-Parte order is against Section 87.10 of the Electoral Act” among others, while protesting the incessant court orders and judgements emanating from the High Courts jeopardizing the participation of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) In the forthcoming November 6 gubernatorial election in the state.
The protesters called for the sack of the party chieftain and others who they claimed are behind the numerous brouhaha foisted by court orders from the courts.
Recall that Justice Obiora Nwabunike had on July 6, 2021 granted 6 Ex-Parte Orders, prominent among them was “PDP, INEC and Valentine Ozigbo are hereby ordered and directed to await the determination or outcome of this suit and restrained from presenting, receiving, parading or accepting anybody as the Governorship candidate of PDP for the Governorship election fixed for the 6th November, 2021 to elect Governor of Anambra State.”

However, when the matter came up today at the Anambra State High court 5, Awka for hearing, counsels to the defendants challenged the strange order, which the ILF already protested that it was against “Section 87.10 of the Electoral Act (as Amended)”. The Judge vacated the said order.
With the outcome at the court today, the coast is now clear for Mr. Valentine Ozigbo to fly the flag of PDP at the Governorship election, scheduled November 6, 2021.
