IPOB sit-at-home order: 2 killed in Anambra, Vehicle Burnt
At least two persons have been reportedly killed in Nnewi, Anambra State on Monday, August 9.
The unidentified young men were killed while residents were complying to Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)’s sit-at-home order.
According to eyewitnesses, at about 6:00am on Monday, gunshots were heard at Izuchukwu Junction.
They all came out to see two lifeless bodies of young men. But nobody could explain who shot them.
Meanwhile, commercial banks, schools, markets, offices and other public places remain closed. Even the roads and major streets are vacated.

In Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, students writing the National Examination Council (NECO) exams were seen going to school in the morning.
Also, some cars, commercial tricycles and motorcycles were operating.
IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful had vowed that anyone who dares to go out today (Monday) will regret their life and get it hot.
The group had called for the exercise to protest the arrest and detention of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government.
