IT'S APC'S TURN TO LEAD ANAMBRA DR. AMOBI NWOKAFOR DECLARES, AS HIS INTENTION TO CONTEST IS MADE PUBLIC.

The APC state secretariat, Awka was a beehive of activities, when it hosted the gathering of party executives from around the state to witness the formal declaration of intentions to contest for the gubernatorial seat of Anambra state by the well known community leader and private sector driven Dr. Amobi Nwokafor, whom his intention were well received in the hall packed of party faithfuls.
Dr. Nwokafor, who arrived with his entourage to the ‘Glass House’ was received by party faithfuls in cheers, as his profile as a Grand Private Sector driven personality was read with resounding hand of applause.
Dr. Amobi Nwokafor beyond being a charted accountant and belonging to several professional bodies, has also been board member for a lot of companies, firms and establishment, including Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, MRS Oil Nigeria PLC and host of others.
The Acting State Chairman of APC, Mr. Basil Ejidike who formally accepted Dr. Amobi Nwokafor into the party as an intending gubernatorial candidate, said the party is now better positioned to win the gubernatorial seat against all odds, as the party is aggressively putting its house in order and the intention of Dr. Amobi Nwokafor to run on the party platform is most humbly welcomed, given that he has been a member of the party in a long time.
In his very brief remark, Dr. Amobi Nwokafor emphasized that beyond politics, Anambra is not achieving its full potentials, given its human endowment and that beyond sentiment all hands should be on deck to change the narrative.
He said people must keenly look at the personalities contesting and better choose a candidate on result rather than sentiments, he said Anambra must align with the centre positively for results and the time should be now come 2021.
The state secretary of the party, Mr Chukwumma Agufugo and the Youth Zonal leader, Mr. Olisa Emeka, asserted that beyond all sentiments, APC is better positioned to achieve its objective of leading Anambra state in 2021 and no sentiment can’t put a stop to its efforts, as the quality of candidates indicating interest, in the person of Dr. Amobi Nwokafor is showing that the party is aggressively putting its house in order.
