A keke napepe( tricycle) conveying a man, woman and six children of same age bracket has intercepted by residents of Awka and handed over to police for investigation.
Meanwhile, a man who simply gave his name Thompson, who was alleged to have connived with the woman in quote to traffic the children from Ebony State to Awka said that the woman was the biological mother of children.
” the woman is a widow and she gives birth without discourse”, Thompson alleged.
But when this reporter asked Mr. Thompson is relationship with the woman and the children, he became furious.
Also speaking ,a lady who poised to have raised the alarm on the development and whose name could not be ascertained at the time of filling this reporter said that when she asked the children if the woman was their real mother upon sighting how they were crowded in a keke , one of the children said the woman was not their mother.
The incident happened in front of St. Faith Anglican Cathedral, Awka and the matter has been transferred to Central Police Station (C.P.S) ,Awka by police personnel regulating traffic along Zik’s Avenue,Awka.
