Senator and Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris said she was “heartbroken” when she heard the news that “fellow Bison” and actor Chadwick Boseman passed away Friday, adding that he was “brilliant, kind, learned and humble.”
Boseman embodied black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown on the silver screen before he portrayed the superhero “Black Panther” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor’s death was confirmed by his representative who said the wide-ranging performer died after a bout with colon cancer. He was 43.
