Chelsea have contacted former Paris Saint-Germain boss
Mauricio Pochettino in the past few days over the possibility of him replacing
caretaker manager Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge.
This was disclosed by transfer guru, Romano Fabrizio, in a
tweet via his Twitter handle on Thursday.
“Chelsea have also contacted Mauricio Pochettino in the last
few days. It’s the first direct approach after last summer when he was [on] the
list,” Romano tweeted.
“Nothing advanced yet, Nagelsmann remains favourite. Talks
will continue, as Chelsea want to be 100% sure of their choice.”
Chelsea are still searching for a permanent manager that
will take over from Lampard this summer.
The Blues recently sacked Graham Potter and temporarily
appointed Lampard to take charge of the first team until the end of the season.
