Learn From ESN, Defend Your Land, Lives And Forests - Nnamdi Kanu Urges Yoruba Youths

Following recent happenings in Ondo State, where governor Rotimi Akeredolu issued an ultimatum to the Fulani herdsmen to vacate Ondo forest reserves, a report from Vanguard News has revealed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in a statement told Yoruba youths to take the security of their land, lives and properties seriously as government would not be able protect them.

This report was made available to newsmen through Kanu’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful. In that statement, Emma reportedly reminded the Yoruba youths that southwest Governors were unable to unravel the situation behind those who killed and kidnapped a Yoruba leader, Pa Fasoranti’s daughter.

He further pointed out situations where the alleged activities of herdsmen in the area could not be sustained by governors of the South West, urging the youth to rise up and take responsibility like their counterparts (Eastern youths) have done with Eastern Security Network, ESN.

As a matter of fact, the back and forth accusations in regards to insecurity, killing, kidnappings and robbery in the country needs to be taken seriously. For government to get things together, a holistic approach is to be used in addressing the issue.
