Market Leader in Onitsha Commend Gov. Soludo on Waste Evacuation Exercise
The Entire Executives at Ochanja Central Market Onitsha, in Onitsha South LGA of Anambra State, led by Hon. Sunday Aniakor, the Caretater Comiittee Chairman, have commended His Excellency Gov. Charlse Soludo and his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim for fulfilled its promise of desilting and evacuating mountain-like dumped wastes in Anambra State.
Speaking to Journalist in Onitsha , Hon Sunday Aniakor said that exercise commenced from the Obiano Park, Upper Iweka area of Onitsha South, through Fegge, Ochanja Market and Ochanja Roundabout.
According to him , Workers and residents of the areas were seen clearing and helping to ensure that the wastes are evacuated to ensure that the vision of Professor Chukwuma Soludo is achieved.
Aniakor said that a healthy environment is a key to building a sustainable smart megacity and advised the people to support the efforts of the governor by being law-abiding.
He commended the Gov. Charlse Soludo for his activeness and urged him not to relent in his efforts to make Anambra a better place to live in and to its status as the “Light of the Nation”.
Aniakor also commended the intervention of the state government in the areas, and assured of stronger partnership with the state Ministry of Environment towards sustaining cleanliness in all the markets across the state.
He also described the action of the Governor as worthy and called on the people to give the Governor their maximum support to make the state better, promised to key into the state government’s environmental sanitation initiative
Aniakor expressed gratitude to the new government led by Professor Chukwuma Soludo , Professor and his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim , for the move pledging their unalloyed support.
He advised both the traders and the residents to assist in keeping the environment clean by discouraging disposal of wastes into the drainage.
