Mr. Uche Nnoyelu of Umuoramma village Awka was today initiated into the prestigious Ozo Awka society with the title Name ‘Ozo du Ebube’.
Ozo Nnoyelu who was initiated into Ozo Awka society along side his wife, Ojiefi Chinelo Nnoyelu expressed joy for finally joining Ozo Awka, completing the wish of his father who died without taking the title, as he must now be responsible and truthful in all his ways as demanded of him.
In his remark at the event, a community leader, Ozo Amobi Nwokafor, with the tittle name Ozo Awka IV congratulated the newly initiated and said that being initiated confers on him greater responsibility in family and community affairs to be steadfast and truthful in all his doings.
The ceremony featured initiation rites, including masquerade display and customary egwu ufvio dance.
