How Nigeria Ex international boxer, Mazi Okoronkwo returned ₦1m transferred mistakenly to his account.
Yesterday, Friday 22nd November 2024, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, Nigeria Ex international boxer and Ambassador for sports in boxing, was awaken by a bank alert of one million Naira.
Wondering who sent, where it was sent from and why that kind of money was sent, Mazi Okoronkwo reported to the bank who confirmed that the money was the sender’s mistake.
In a WhatsApp message he sent to Chrysora Media, Mazi Okoronkwo wrote
Someone mistakenly paid One Million Naira (1.000.000) into my Bank Account this morning. I went to my bank and returned the N1M to the rightful Owner.

In appreciation to the refund, the rightful owner replied

This single act has clearly shown the extent at which Mazi Okoronkwo can be trusted with little things.
