Nigeria Is Mostly At War With Two Powerful Forces – Orji Kalu
The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has stated that Nigeria as a country is at war, not just with with insecurity but also with the economy.
Senator Kalu stated this during plenary at the National Assembly, Abuja, the nation’s capital on Friday.
Kalu revealed that two of his factories in Lagos is currently closed down because of the economic challenges.
According to him, “two of my factories in Lagos is currently closed down because of the economic challenges. The challenges are not exceptional to Nigeria as United Kingdom, United States, China, France etc are all faced with similar economic problems.”
“While going through the 2023 budget, One of my submissions is the need to reduce the cost of governance.”
“What happens to the furniture and stationeries appropriated in previous budgets?”
“Why do we need to buy new furnitures yearly?”
“Enough of the recycling.”
“I strongly believe that the cost of GOVERNANCE must be reduced.”
“We must also pay serious attention to AGRICULTURE as a means to grow our economy.”
