In what looks a response to the resolution of ECOWAS Heads Of States, the Nigerian military have started mobilising its troops for the enforcement of the NO FLY ZONE imposed Niger Republic
This directive was contained in a leaked memo by the Defence Headquarters and exclusively seen by CKN News
The memo dated 1st August 2023 with file number DHQ / 13 / OPS / 201/ 26 and signed by Major General ordered the three armed forces to mobilized its troops to Sokoto State towards enforcing the directive
To this end the Nigerian Army according to the memo is to provide 2 x BN , Nigerian Navy 1 x OBS COY and Nigerian Airforce 1 x REGT COY
Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu and the ECOWAS Heads of States have given the Nigerian junta one week to reinstate the ousted President or face military action
The coup has been condemned by the AU , France , USA and UN
